Character Matters: In my opinion, a quality agent starts with a quality individual. Qualities like character, work ethic, and a solid moral compass. Irik demonstrated these qualities from day one. My first impression of Irik came while I was working in my front yard. Irik was walking door-to-door passing out his custom neighborhood newsletters. Without hesitation or introduction he asked if I needed help with my yard work. Who is this guy? My neighbors house had been vacant and neglected for almost two years with the owner three time zones away. This house was vacated with zero planning or preparation, dishes in the sink, food left in the fridge, etc. Irik was hired to sell the home and immediately got to work. I personally watched Irik clean the kitchen, empty the fridge and remove the countless unwanted items left behind of all sizes and shapes. He then began to assess how to best prep the house with emphasis on the bottom line, the best return for work performed. He collected and reviewed bids for landscaping, for pool repair, carpet cleaning and minor repairs. Irik worked closely with the contractors and did much of the work himself. He saved money for the owner at every level, often telling me, “If I can save some money for the owner by doing something myself, I’ll do it.” Very shortly, the home was beautifully staged and ready to present. I was amazed at the transformation. Irik capped it off by hosting an invitation only open house and special get together for neighbors and friends to honor the previous owner, who passed two years ago, with his favorite food and music. We were all amazed at how far the home progressed. I was especially proud because the owner was a good friend of mine. Needless to say, the owner's son was blown away! I know most homes probably will not require this level of transformation or involvement, but I’m confident Irik’s level of care and commitment will excel in any situation.
